The evolution of responsible development has moved towards preservation of existing plant life that currently stands in the way of construction. In the past, revegetation was focused on restoring accidental encroachment by construction into native areas. Today, projects are planned much more thoroughly, and government regulations require developers to protect native plants that would otherwise be destroyed.
Soil-Tech fills the gap between the salvage of native plants before construction begins, and the restoration of the desert in disturbed areas after development is complete. Our on-site and off-site nursery operations provide a place for salvaged plants to recover from the shock of transplantation, and a place to store native plant material until it is ready to be re-planted in its permanent location.
Mature desert plants take a lifetime to grow naturally. Soil-Tech’s nursery operations ensure that fully grown plant material can be maintained and preserved until they can be returned to a native desert habitat.
