Soil-Tech's Native Resources Division began performing mature desert revegetation projects in the mid-1990’s in response to our clients' desire to have a natural looking, flourishing desert habitat surrounding a newly developed master planned community. Impatience with the years that it can take for vibrant Yucca, Joshua Trees, and other hallmark vegetation of the Mojave Desert drove Soil-Tech to experimentation with transplanting mature desert plants to re-create a natural desert look.
Learning from best practices in other desert environments, and adapting through trial and error in the water deprived and harsh environment of the Mojave, Soil-Tech developed the gold standard for salvaging native plant material and achieving survival rates that rival Mother Nature herself.
Through its early focus on non-irrigated revegetation and desert restoration activities, Soil-Tech has firmly established itself as the largest Mojave Desert restoration company in the world. As the construction industry has just started moving towards environmentally friendly development projects, Soil-Tech has already positioned itself as the industry leader and expert in native habitat restoration.
